My Christmas Tree – Rustic Woodland Creature Theme

I have decided to write a blog post about how I decorate my Christmas tree and show you all of the ornaments I have and where I got them. I hope you enjoy! ๐Ÿ™‚

I bought this tree and the ornaments a couple of Christmases ago. I wanted a theme that I would really enjoy for many years to come, so the theme I went with is a rustic woodland creature theme. The two main colors that I wanted to stand out are red and gold.ย What inspired this theme are these two reindeer’s that I found at my local Goodwill a few years ago. I love how cute and rustic they look, and so I decided I should make my whole tree look that way.

A lot of the ornaments are from Walmart and Joann Fabrics. Seriously Joann Fabrics has some of the best Christmas decorations. Especially woodland creatures! I also mostly went with creatures made from real wood, sticks and pine cones. I just think it gives it that extra rustic touch. The glowing snow globe ornaments I got from my boyfriend last year. They are just so pretty and elegant!

I wanted that extra pop of color so I found these sparkly red poinsettia clips at the Dollar Store. You’ll be amazed at the cute stuff you’ll find at the Dollar Store.

I found these beautiful gold glitter pine cone ornaments at Michael’s Craft Store. They really tie the whole tree together I think. I also got this set of various golden bulbs. Some are matte gold and some have glitter. And I went with a gold and white chevron printed tree skirt that I got from Target. I just love all of the sparkle on this tree!

My most favorite ornament is my penguin. I know he doesn’t belong with the woodland creatures, but my mom bought him for me years ago on a sad Christmas year for me. So he’s sentimental. The other animals accept him ๐Ÿ˜‰ My gold glittery snowflake topper is also another favorite. I just think it’s so pretty, and I got it at my local Walgreen’s. I actually saw it again this year.

How do you decorate your Christmas tree? Do you go with a theme? Do you have any sentimental ornaments? Tell me in the comments! I’d love to hear from ya!

Thank you for reading and until next time! Happy Holidays!
