February Favorites – 2018

It has been a few months since I have done a monthly favorites blog (oops), because my last one was October. I guess I just didn’t have a lot of new favorites for a while. I also ended up quitting a job back in December, and so your girl was broke for a while. Enough of that negativity though. I have a new FULL time job now, and am slowly getting back into blogging again after 2 months of being dirt poor. Here are my favorite products for the month of February.

Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder

This is an amazing finishing powder! It sets my face, and my concealer for a long time without creasing. It is lightly tinted…the shade I have is 10 Fair Light. The finish is just beautiful and so light feeling. I think this will be a staple in my makeup bag from now on.

ColourPop No Filter Concealer

I bought a couple shades of this concealer in December, and it is all I have been using since. It has replaced my Tarte Shape Tape, which is like my holy grail concealer. But it’s expensive vs the ColourPop one. So when I’m on a budget I will be using this one. It does oxidize in color a little, but once you blend it out it looks fabulous. It doesn’t crease easily, and it just has a lovely finish to it. Try it out if you haven’t yet.

Shawn Mendes Signature Perfume For Women & Men

I bought this perfume about two weeks ago, and it has quickly become one of my favorites. It’s a sweet scent…it does remind me of Pink Sugar by Aquamarine, which is my favorite perfume of all time. BUT it does have a slight musky manly scent too. The notes are

  • Top: Lemon Oil, Pineapple, McIntosh Apple
  • Mid: Frangipani, Sugar Maple Accord, Rose Petals
  • Base: Dulce de Leche, White Cedar, Skin Musk

Shawn Mendes did a great job making this perfume. I love it, and I get a lot of complements whenever I wear it.

Love Beauty and Planet Volume and Bounty Dry Shampoo

I found this at my local Walgreens, and I obviously love it. The scent is lovely. It’s like a citrus grapefruit scent mixed with like a classic hair spray scent. I can’t describe it well, but it’s a good scent. It also works very well. I would say as well at the Not Your Mothers dry shampoo that was in a past blog post. I was so intrigued by this brand and the overall packaging that I got the shampoo and conditioner too. I was thinking about reviewing the brand in another blog post so stay tuned.

Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara

Ever since I got two new jobs in the last 3 months I have been on the hunt for a new (cheaper) mascara that gives volume, separates lashes and doesn’t flake easily during a long day of work. This one has impressed me! It does all of that and gives length, and it’s infused with coconut extract, which is nourishing and pretty cool. It does have a slight coconut scent to it…I mean how often does a mascara smell good? The packaging is lovely also. I am totally drawn to the peachy pink – almost nude – tube color. Overall I am so glad that I found this mascara because the ones I have been trying before would dry out too quickly, flake and irritate my eyes. They definitely weren’t meant for a 12 hour work day. So this ones a keeper for me.

OGX Damage Remedy & Coconut Miracle Oil

My hair has been extra dry lately, and I think all of this snowy weather has something to do with it. I put this oil on about 30 minutes after I take a shower. It always does a great job with hydrating and making my hair feel and appear silky soft again. It also smells like a tropical coconut dream!

Kathleen Lights X ColourPop Ultra Satin Liquid Lipstick in Dreamy

I did a blog review on the new Kathleen Lights X ColourPop collection a month or so ago and this liquid lip has become a top favorite. I love the peachy pink shade, it is perfect for everyday….day or night, and it goes with most of my makeup looks. I love it, it will stay in my purse! That’s when you know a lip product is good…when it stays in your purse. Well done Kathleen.

Ok so that’s everything for my February favorites. Have you tried any of these products? Do you like or hate them? Let me know down below I’d love to hear from ya.

As always thank you for reading and until next time!
