Fenty Beauty Review

After many months of hearing about how amazing the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Foundation and Killawatt Highlighters are I decided to make an online purchase at Sephora and try the products out myself. Here are my thoughts!

Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation – $34.00 at Sephora

Usually I try to stay away from matte foundations, because of my dry skin. But just like anyone else obsessed with makeup I was intrigued by this brand by Rihanna from the moment I saw it. First of all the packaging is on point and luxurious feeling with the frosted glass bottle and pump. It’s an 1.08fl oz bottle, and out of the 40 different shades available (amazing!) I felt that the best one for my skin tone is 120, which is described as a shade for fair skin with neutral undertones.

My first time wearing this foundation I had moisturized a couple of hours before I applied it. Sadly the foundation did look a little patchy on my dry areas. Even though the foundation didn’t look that great on my dry skin, I worked a 5 hour shift and it stayed on and looked the same as it did when I applied it. The next day I applied my moisturizer right before applying the foundation, and it looked amazing. I then worked a 12 hour shift between my 2 jobs that day, and when I looked at my face that night the foundation still looked pretty amazing. I only had a little bit fading on my nose which always happens. Most foundations that I have wouldn’t look that great after 12 hours. So I’m impressed. I see why people are loving this foundation even if they have dry skin. If you are someone looking for a super longwearing foundation this one is so worth it.

Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter – $34.00 at Sephora

The duo I got are called Lightning Dust “soft pearlescent sheen” and Fire Crystal “supercharged pearlescent shimmer”. I love this highlighter duo so much. I love that it has a softer for natural side and then a BAM! Beaming to the Gods above side. The more intense side Fire Crystal does have a little bit of micro glitters in it, but honestly I don’t mind. It looks so beautiful on my skin, and it doesn’t extenuate any texture. I really want to get the champagne colors in Mean Money and Hustler Baby next. I am so excited to have this duo in my collection it is definitely worth the splurge.

But Wait There’s More!!!

Too Faced HangoverX 3 in 1 Replenishing Primer & Setting Spray – 1.0fl oz $15 at Sephora

I got this because I love the HangoverX hydrating primer. I think I really love this as well. I paired it with the Fenty Beauty Foundation, and I feel it did hydrate my skin a bit and helped set and make my makeup last longer. It also has a light coconut scent to it, which I always love. The only thing I don’t like is the sprayer. It’s a little fast and harsh compared to some of my favorites. But then again I did get the 1.0fl oz bottle…and so the larger bottle could have a better mist. I would hope so at least.

Free Samples at Sephora

So I found an offer code and got the Cover FX Glitter Drops in Mirage. This product is seriously so intense. I love it though, and I plan to use it for some nights out when I want a fun glittery eye look or glittery body even. I then picked a couple of foundation samples of foundations I have never tried before. I got the Cover FX Natural Finish Foundation and then the Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation. I haven’t tried them out yet since I got them, but I am excited to. Lastly I got a perfume sample of Majestic Woods by Juicy Couture. I really enjoy it so far. It smells musky with a hint of sweet, which I usually enjoy those scents. It actually smells like a candle I would want burning. I’ll have to see how I like it on my own skin though and if it lasts a while.

So that is my review of the Fenty Beauity Foundation and Killawatt Highlighter. I hope you enjoyed reading what I thought. Have you tried these products? What do you think of them? Let me know in the comments I’d love to hear from you!

Thank you so much for reading and until next time!
