QVC Mini Haul/Review – TARTE

I bought the TARTE Be A Mermaid & Make Waves Eyeshadow Palette online at QVC for $42, and it came with two other TARTE products for free. Here are my thoughts.

TARTE Be A Mermaid & Make Waves Eyeshadow Palette

First of all this is a luxurious and gorgeous palette! TARTE makes some of the best packaging in my opinion. I love that this palette looks like a glamorous seashell…definitely something i’d imagine a mermaid to have, and it’s a cool piece to have displayed in my makeup collection.

I love the color range of this palette also. Anywhere from neutral everyday shades to fun pops of color. The shades Bubbles, Lagoon and Splash are such beautiful unique shades. I feel like the new trend this summer in makeup are those tropical blue shades, and I think that’s awesome to experiment with such colors. I also feel that the shades are very “all year around” shades. I totally see myself using the maroon and brown shades in the fall, and the blues for a fun night out look…maybe a cool New Years Eve look. TARTE has definitely nailed it with this palette. The eyeshadows are TARTES well known buttery soft formula that blends effortlessly and lasts a long time. I didn’t really need to use my Mac Fix Plus on any of the shades…even the shimmers and metallic shades. Overall I think this palette is amazing and fun to have!

As a special offer on QVC they added two more TARTE products for free. The Fresh Eyes Makeup Remover Wipes and one of the brushes from the Mermaid Brush Set. First of all the wipes are actually really nice. I didn’t think I’d like them because they aren’t very moist at all. The instructions said to hover the wipe over your eye for a few seconds and then begin to wipe…and they really do work well. I love that these wipes have maracuja oil in them. It really hydrates and nourishes the eye area.

This brush is ok. The packaging is super cute and fun to have in my brush collection…the brush itself is alright. For TARTE I expect nothing but their super soft brushes that I love, but this one feels cheap. It’s definitely not as luxurious as most other TARTE brushes and it feels very light. This brush performs ok though. I used it to pack on a metallic shade and it did well. I mean the brush was free in the order so I can’t complain much.

Overall I am very satisfied with the products, and I will enjoy this palette so much! It is gorgeous inside and out and well worth having in your own makeup collection if you have been thinking about buying it.

Thank you so much for reading and until next time!
